CAN I BUY A TICKET EVEN IF I AM NOT REGISTERED?

Of course! Linkavel allows you to access its services in several ways:

  1. You can create your personal account and buy your tickets; If you need help, follow the instructions in our traveller’s guide
  2. Alternatively, you can search information available on Linkavel and buy tickets even if you are not signed in. Information about the buyer will be asked during the purchase process.

DO I HAVE TO REGISTER EVERY TIME I BUY A TICKET ON LINKAVEL?

No. Once registered, you can access to your account with the username and password you chose.

I HAVE LOST MY "USERNAME" OR MY "PASSWORD". WHAT CAN I DO?

In case you lose your password, you can reset the old access key and enter a new one:

  • when the system asks you to enter your log-in information, select the "Forgot Password?";
  • enter the email address with which you registered on Linkavel and click "Send Link", the system will send an email to the address you indicated;
  • check you inbox and click the link in the message. You will be redirected to the authentication system of Linkavel, LinkAuth; where you can enter your credentials and your new password.

CAN I JUST CHECK THE SCHEDULES AND THE SEATS AVAILABILITY WITHOUT BUYING A TICKET?

Yes, you can. Linkavel is not just a ticketing website, but also a search engine that lets you find all the information regarding your travel by bus.

CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO A CONFIRMED RESERVATION?

Yes!

Go to the home page, select "Change booking" in the menu on the right side of the page and follow the procedure. If you need help, see the entry Modify Reservationon our buying guide.

To cancel your reservation and get a refund you must contact the bus company with which you purchased the ticket; contacts are available on the ticket, on the company page on Linkavel and on the website of the company.

HOW LONG BEFORE I CAN CHANGE THE RESERVATION?

You can modify your reservation up to 30 minutes or 2 hours before departure of the bus: the deadline does not depend on Linkavel, but on the company Terms & Conditions.

CAN I MAKE A CHANGE TO A TICKET AND USE IT FOR ANOTHER BUS COMPANY?

Absolutely not! Linkavel allows you to change your reservation only with a run of the same bus company with which you purchased your travel.

WHAT IS THE PNR?

The PNR (Passenger Name Record) is a code that contains all the information about a ticket, such as number of passengers, run, departure time, etc.

WHERE CAN I FIND THE CODE OF MY RESERVATION (PNR)?

You can find the PNR on your ticket and on the purchase summary screen. The PNR is important because allows you to make a change of the journey on Linkavel, at the resellers affiliated with the transport company, contacting the bus company and at the stop, showing your ticket to the driver.

WHICH ARE THE PAYMENT METHODS ACCEPTED?

On Linkavel you can purchase your ticket using the most popular and secure electronic payment methods: Maestro, Visa, MasterCard, PayPal Prepaid Card, Discover, American Express, Carta Aura.

IS IT SECURE TO USE YOUR CREDIT CARD FOR AN ONLINE PURCHASE?

Sure! Electronic commerce and online payments are widely used by network users; this is because the development of e-commerce has gone hand in hand with the improvement of the safety aspects and the ease of use of electronic payments. Moreover, on Linkavel you can pay via the most popular and guaranteed payment methods.

CAN I BUY A TICKET USING OTHER PAYMENT METHODS THAN THE ELETRONIC ONES?

It is not possible to pay via other methods than those specified above; the only alternative is to go to a travel agency that has an agreement with the bus company and buy your ticket.

CAN I RESERVE A SEAT ONLINE AND PAY AFTER?

No, online you can just reserve and pay for your ticket.

CAN THE NAMES OF THE PURCHASER BE DIFFERENT FROM THOSE OF THE TRAVELLER?

Sure. The purchaser and the traveller can be different. In fact, during the purchase process you will be asked to enter the first data of the traveller and then those of the purchaser for this reason. WHAT IS THE 3D SECURE CODE?

The 3D SECURE represents an additional level of security for payments with Visa and MasterCard, which protects against unauthorized use of your credit card. The 3D Secure is the system of fraud protection designed by the international Visa (Verified by Visa) and MasterCard (MasterCard SecureCode).

HOW DOES THE 3D SECURE CODE WORK?

3D SECURE is a simple and free way to protect your credit card. The use of this service requires registration, the choice of a password and a sentence identification; during the purchase process you will see a pop-up window where you just enter the password and the payment will be completed safely.

THE PAYMENT HAS BEEN REJECTED. WHAT CAN I DO?

Please check that the card number and other data entered are correct. Otherwise, contact the toll free number of the credit card for more information.

THE TIME AVAILABLE TO BUY THE TICKET IS OVER, WHAT CAN I DO?

At the end of the time at your disposal, the system automatically empties the shopping basket from the selected reservations and free the seats booked; therefore, you will need to repeat the entire procedure.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY RESERVATION IS CONFIRMED?

Once the transaction has gone through the payment gateway, the system will redirect you on Linkavel where you will see the results and the summary of the booking. In addition, the system will send you a confirmation email with attached the purchased ticket.

WHY HAVE I NOT RECEIVED THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL OF MY RESERVATION?

Due to the high number of reservations is possible, although rarely, to not receive the confirmation email of your purchase. In this case, you can contact the bus company with which you have just completed the transaction, notify the PNR or your data (name, surname or email address): they will send you the tickets.

HOW CAN I PRINT MY TICKET?

At the end of the buying process, the system will display a summary of the reservation: at this point you can click on PRINT symbol and get your ticket in paper format.

Alternatively, you can print the ticket via the .pdf file attached to the email confirmation.

SHOULD I HAVE TO PRINT THE TICKET?

No, you can present your ticket in digital format too, showing the driver the mobile device on which it is saved.
